It’s been a while.
Last time I poured my heart out on this blog my world revolved around just one beautiful little 18 month old girl and now – over a year later – I am the proudest mother of two absolutely gorgeous little girls.
Emma has turned from inquisitive toddler into a head strong, lively and caring little girl. She has turned 2 (going on 3!), started preschool, moved house, and – probably most significantly – become a big sister.
When I wrote these previous few blog posts, Alice was already wreaking havoc in my belly and keeping me on my toes with nausea and hospital visits. Now, she is 8 months old, crawling and verging on fearless.
The two of them have their little disagreements – normally when Alice wants to be exactly where Emma is and Emma wants her to be far far away – but they also have their moments that make my mushy mamma heart melt even more.
The other day big sister Emma moved some furniture around and managed to get the child lock key from a shelf in the living room. I found the pair of them sat together exploring the drawer of forbidden things. I can only imagine what the two of them will get up to when they’re older..
Lots, I hope.
